It takes a village...
Teamwork
It takes many hands to manage and run the whole operation at Purisima Creek Ranch. Here are some of the good souls that stayed with us, trained the horses and competed in riding the distance as well as in the kitchen for the perfect dish.
About our current and past guests
Gretchen
Gretchen arrived at PCR in September 2007. Her background includes showing and breeding the venerated Trakheners.

Silvia
Silvia came to us in July 2006 and brought her German Shepard, Dr. Meggi, with her. This has caused considerable educational development opportunities for Argos. Meggi took the opportunity to make new GSD friends and win the regional awards. Sadly Silvia had to return to Germany and now Argos is missing his play mate Meggi, the guys miss their rider and friend, and we miss the wonderful German cakes! She is bound to come back and crew for Tevis' 07. |
Monika
Monika stayed in early 2006 with us while finishing her thesis on horse coat colorings - and no, the colorings are only somewhat genetic, but definitely not spray-on. She is now working towards her masters in Germany and was the WEG Assistant Chef d'Equipe for the Canadian Team in Aachen.
|
Daniela
Daniela came late 2005 to stay and train the horses with us in between transiting from studies to new job.
|
Aurelie
Aurelie brought French flair and cuisine to the house. Although she now lives in Paris, she is originally from Brittany. After her return she continued her studies in economics.
|
Beatrice
Beatrice came to learn about endurance and stayed with us in 2004. She now aspires to become a teacher in Germany.
|
Fiona
Fiona hailed from the UK, out of a dedicated endurance family in England. She went back to England to study veterinary medicine in Liverpool.
